Mr. & Ms. Juneteenth Contest
Our Mr. & Ms. Juneteenth Scholarship Program is open to high school juniors and seniors of African/African-American heritage. This event is not a beauty or popularity program. Winners will be selected based on their grades, leadership, school, community and involvement, and personal essay.
The deadline for receiving their completed application is May 31, 2024. First Place winners will receive $500, 2nd place $250, and 3rd place $100 awards.

Mr. and Ms. Juneteenth Application
Famous Civil Rights Activist and Labor Organizer, A. Philip Randolph’s quote goes on to say, “Justice is never given: It is exacted. Freedom and justice must be struggled for by the oppressed of all lands and races…”.
He founded the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters and was at the forefront of the fight for fair wages and working conditions for Black and whites. As a Civil Rights leader, he worked with the grassroots community and US Presidents alike. He was chairman of the historic 1963 March on Washington, where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his famous, “I Have A Dream” speech.
The Mr. & Miss Juneteenth Scholarship Winners will be announced on June 3rd .
