Each year, South Salt lake hosts a Juneteenth community celebration in partnership with Project Success Coalition. The event is free and welcoming to all, with food, entertainment, games, and engagement opportunities with community resource groups. To kick-off the celebration, we gather around the flagpole at the South Salt Lake Community Center for a flag raising ceremony and opening remarks by special guests.

Join us for the 37th Annual Utah Juneteenth Freedom Festival in Ogden on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ogden Amphitheater.
Hosted by Project Success Coalition, this annual celebration brings together community, culture, entertainment, food vendors, local businesses, educational activities, youth programming, and family-friendly fun.
This year’s festival will also feature the Mr. & Miss Juneteenth Scholarship Program, recognizing outstanding high school juniors and seniors who demonstrate leadership, academic excellence, cultural pride, and community involvement. Students may also participate in the Juneteenth Essay Contest, which is open to grades K–12 and offers cash prizes and recognition.
